Back by Popular Demand!The Hawthorne Village(r) Coca Cola(r) Train returns with classic and new fun for all! This was one of our most popular sellers in 2004 and 2005 - so popular that the original limited run had been completely unavailable (except from scalpers) for over two years. Hawthorne Village(r) has been able to renegotiate a new licensing agreement that would allow them to reintroduce this charming collection in a new limited edition series. In the meantime, several other Coca Cola-themed village items that we featured on this page as late as 2006 have become unavailable, so this is a reminder that "limited" really does mean "limited," so don't wait too long to make up your mind, especially if you are a Coca Cola(r) collector who also loves Christmas villages.

The Hawthorne Village(r) Coca Cola(r) Train is a subscription train. That means that you buy it in installments, like a magazine. Like many other Hawthorne Village(r) Trains, this train is in O scale, which means that it is 1:48 the size of the “real thing,” about the same scale as most of the better Lionel trains. But it runs on HO gauge track, making it easier to set up and to fit into a fairly small place. These trains are also built using parts from the Bachmann On30 trains, so parts and service will always be available. In addition, track and accessories that are made to go with the Bachmann On30 trains will work with these as well.

Note: Deadlines approaching! Because these are subscription trains, you get the locomotive in the first shipment, a car in the next, a car and the track in the next, and so on, so you should order soon to have enough of a train to enjoy by Christmas. Additional Track
The Coca Cola train sets above come with an oval of track that is about 38" x 56". You get a track circle with the second issue of the series, then some straight pieces with the fourth issue. Other issues may include track or other accessories.
To get a head start on your railroad, or to get track to run the train from the display set above on, you may easily add additional pieces of Bachmann EZ Nickle Silver Track. The Bachmann EZ NS Track #44501 is an exact replacement for the curves that come with the train sets. (Three 4-packs make a circle.) #44511 matches the straight pieces. In addition you can easily convert any of the train sets on this page to remote control with the Crest Basic Train Engineer.
